Chainmaille celtic stars keychians

After not posting for a long time on this blog I decided to start this blog up again. I had fun with it when i was using it, so why not use it again. I am still being creative. At the moment I spending my time mostly designing and making keychains. I still like to experiment with all kinds of techniques and making keychains gives me the free to do that. For instance I made  these chainmaille celtic stars keychains

day 154. Pop tab candle holder second try

My project for today. Lissa asked my if she could order the candle holder I made when get to each 50 items of my project.  I had to confess something becaus of this question. I will show you after I show the second try of making the candle holder

My first try looked like this

It looked perfect didn't it. In reality it was not perfect at all. My first try at making these did not fit at all. They were too big. Because I shot the photo in a lower angle you did not see it. But here it is in a higher angle. See the room it has on the left. My second try solved this problem. I have some other ideas I want to try out.

day 12 pair of handflowers (19 jan)

I made the right version of the handflower that I made on day 10. Now I have a pair I can wear :). I planning on tweaking them a little and then putting them up in my etsy shop. For instance I want to use a leather cord for tying them.

I also had a lot of fun trying to photograph these items with the self timer. Never used that before. Also learned to adjust the white balance. So it was fun and I learned a few things will doing it.

day 10 pop tab and chainmail handflower left hand (17 jan)

Somedays i do not like what i make or think it can be done better, but today i am love with my own creation. I am totally going to wear this the next concert i am going to. Only one problem. I only had time to make one for the left hand, so this creation you will see back an other day, because i am planning to make a right one also ;). I want a pair of these.

day 9 pop tab and black chainmail earrings (16 jan)

Made pop tab earrings today.  The making of them was easy only photographing was not. Made more then 50 pictures and all are a bit blurry. Oh well, more things to learn and get right ;).I treid  displaying them on different cups and glasses and on myself, but did not like the end result. I hope to figure out a way i do like it and less blurry then this on in the next few days.

Going to coat some pop tabs with white groundcoat, so i can paint them on one of the next days to com.

Also ordered myself a zipper and some jeans fabric i plan using in projects to come.

day 2 of 365: pop tab and chainmail guy (9 jan)

Yesterday is showed my main character the pop tab. Today i thought why not make a real character of it. So i made this little guy of 2 pop tabs, 2 rubber chainmail rings and 20 aluminium chainmail rings in different size. I wanted him to be able to sit, so it took some time to figure that out.

I may take him with my and photograph him in different places for this project.

Also i ordered myself artistic wire for making a few projects  I thought of.

31-5 Haubrek

Something i have been working on for months now. I am making a medival chain armor. Also called haubrek. It is made by opening and closing each ring. Here are photo's where you see how it is develloping. The last one is how far i am now. I already used 10.000 1.6 x 8.5 mm bright aluminium rings to make this.
