My second attempt at wire wrapping. I am somewhat more happy with this result.

Tried wire wrapping for the first time today. Looking at the result you can see I  need some more practice. The wraps look a bit messy. Especially photographed in macro mode.

day 3 of 365 Pop tab guy on bench (10 jan)

Okay the little guy that i made yesterday needs a place to sit on, so i made this bench. It is made from 8 pop tabs and grey nylon thread. He probably will get a pop tab girl friend in the course of this year so is not alone on this bench

day 2 of 365: pop tab and chainmail guy (9 jan)

Yesterday is showed my main character the pop tab. Today i thought why not make a real character of it. So i made this little guy of 2 pop tabs, 2 rubber chainmail rings and 20 aluminium chainmail rings in different size. I wanted him to be able to sit, so it took some time to figure that out.

I may take him with my and photograph him in different places for this project.

Also i ordered myself artistic wire for making a few projects  I thought of.

365 project: day 1 of 365 (8 jan)

Got inspired after reading this blog makesomething365 in to doing a 365 project. Because my etsy shop niche is pop tabs I decided to feature pop tabs for a whole year.

What i hope to get out of this:
* inspiration for new pop tab items
* improving my craft skills and learning new techniques
* improving my english
* blogging on a regular basis
* improving my photographing skills
* preserver to  keep doing this for a long period continously

I only have two kind of items in my shop now. Pop tab belts and pop tab bowls. I hope to get inspiration for other items that i like enough to put in my shop.
I also want to improve on photograhing skills. Do this give me the oblication to practice every day.

My first day of 365 I photographed my "main character"

I will use http://www.tumblr.com/blog/ringcat to post the pictures on a daily basis. I will use this blog to comment and tell the story behind them.

blue and white pop tab belt

The black pop tab belt from the last post sold in a few days after it was listed. I remade this pop tab belt and  made i blue and white version. I like making these belts. Here they are:

Made some new additions to my shop. I redone the my pop tab belt. This time i made it with nylon thread. Much stronger and durable then the cotton yarn i was using the first time. Also i changed the buckle to a two tongue buckle, because it works better with the belt holes. I am also in the process of making a blue an white version of this belt.

Also made a simple pop tab bracelet in 2 sizes 8 1/4 inches and 7 1/4 inches
