Happy 2014!

One of my new years resolutions is to post my owm made items on this blog again. Most of them still will be pop tab items. Some of them will be fully crochet or chainmaille items. The two other things that I love to make. Also like to combine crochet and/or chainmaille with pop tabs.

My first item this year is these cool neon pink pop tab heart earrings. The earrings are really pink and the photo does not do it justice.

I finally got the red, green and seashell colored thread, so I got busy with that :)

Only one blue heart to go for a necklace after this one. I like this blue color a lot.

The white one today. Now only 2 blue hearts to go. The silver and gold version of my pop tab angel have sold. The seem a really popular item at the moment.

Made a black crochet pop tab heart keychain today. Still want to crochet 3 other pop tab hearts 2 blue and 1 white for 2 keychains and 1 necklace. I already made the white and black version of the necklace.
Came up with 2 other to do list :P And updated the one on day 118

I belong the 365ers -2021 group. Todays challenge was to take inspiration from ellens daily heart blog
An easy task for me because I already made heart. So here is mine. White on white was maybe not the best choice to photograph it :S

On day 49 one of the comments was from memoriesforlifescrapbooks.
She said "Fun idea! They'd be cute painted red too :)". So i decided to try that and make them red. The paint and vanish made them so thick i could not get a chainmaille ring around the middle any more. So I attached the earhook to the side.

I am getting pretty handy at wire wrapping. I was not a first. In the first days of this project i made a wire wrapped chair. It looked messy. Now I can see, I am getting the hang of this technique.

Do you have nights when you wake up in the middle of the night and think of an object you must make. I did this night and here it is.

day 13 first part of triptych "faith, hope, love" (20 jan)

Decided to do a triptych (again a new english word I did not know existed). I have a headach so i want to go to bed early, so this project  was completed fast. No problems with my perfectionism this time ;) I painted 3 panels a few days back, because i was already planning a head for this one.

I spend most part of the day trying to make a sailboat using pop tabs and failed miserably. I first tried to wire wrap it, then to chainmail it and then to crochet it. None of them i like enough to completely finish. I have been busy with that for 3 hours. Nothing seemed to work. I am somebody who is a perfectionist and i have a hard time letting it go. It was very fustrating

Then i decided to give up making a boat and switch to making an other quote postcard with pop tabs. I used the heart i made on day 6 to embelish the card. Again i used a quote i really like myself
